Within my workstation is a pewter decor gifted by my childhood friend. It has a saying of Lao-Tzu, a Chinese wise man of olden times. When I read sayings of some of these great sages of Ancient days, I am so impressed with how apt are many of the wise insights they imparted to our present time. Lao-Tzu says:

Here’s a beautiful simple short poem written by Glenda Moore that says so much. I found it in one of my collections of poems & verses.
“Evening Prayer”
Thank you, Lord,
For giving me today,
Each splendid hour,
To do with what I may,
Each cherished moment,
To use at my behest,

For evening and my rest.”
