If nobody smiled along the way,
And nobody helped each other along.
If each minute looked after itself
And good things passed unnoticed.
If nobody cared just a little
And nobody dared to share.
If each stood alone in the battle of life,
What a dreary world it would be. “

The Lord sees us struggle. He knows the anguish of our soul. He even knows the times we think and feel as if He has forgotten us…
If we but listen, He reminds us of His promise that our troubles are only temporary. That He will restore and make us strong and steadfast, over and over.
Oh yes, Lee (Lee Strobel in [...]

Forgotten by friends?
Sacked unfairly by employer?
Rejection slip from publishers?
Ignored by family members?
… Other hurts and pains?
There’s one thing we should never feel, and this is God’s rejection. In Isaiah 41: 9-10, God said, “… I have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you.” Isa. 41: 9-10
My hymn for today: What a [...]

and loving towards all he has made.
The Lord upholds all those who fall [...]

The New Year’s stunning fireworks display to welcome 2007 was more dazzling than the previous years. As ever, I’m blessed and proud to be a Sydneysider. The midnight fireworks exploded with abandon ushering the 75th anniversary of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. A diamond jubilee.
In awe of the midnight soaring lights’ grandeur, I couldn’t help but reflect on one thought where all [...]

May Almighty God of grace and glory grant us wisdom, strength and courage as we face the challenges of this new year.
My choice hymn for the day:
Our God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come…
Words: Isaac Watts, The Psalms of David, 1719.
Music: St. Anne, William Croft, 1708.
Our God, our help in [...]
